Bangkok, Thailand

Hi there,
Last week I went to Sara Buri, a province not far from Bangkok City. On my way back to the city, I and my friend dropped by at one of the most important Buddhist temples in Thailand, Wat Pra Bhuddha Batha, Sara Buri. This temple has quite a long and interesting history which I would share with you later. But first, I just want you to see how charming it is.
During that afternoon I spent there, the weather was very hot, so there were just a few visitors coming. But in the late afternoon when we were leaving, many more people just arrived.
1) The main vihara where the Buddha's footprint is located.
3) Inside the vihara is the Buddha's footprint
4) A statue of an angel that is said protecting the footprint and people from the devils.

5) Two reclining Buddha images in another vihara or building nearby.
6) The guardian divil or guardian giant named Vejsuwan is considered a guardian angel at the front entrance of the temple
More details will come later. Now just enjoy watching the pictures. 😊
Gigi. I have a question hoping you can explain to help improve my English.
ตอบลบ1) Why did you use “I and my friend ….” ?
Someone corrected me in the past to start with the other, then and I . Just curious what the correct way is.
2) just want to say hi 👋🏽. Hoping you know who I am. 😁
Welcome to "Teatimegigi" and thanks for your comment. Here's my answer for your question about what should come first, either I or my friend. Grammatically, "I and my friend" or "My friend and I" are both correct in terms of meaning. Yet, as to show more politeness and maybe more formality, we should use "My friend and I ". In my story above, I chose to write " I and my friend" since I wanted to make it sound casual and natural. I didn't make it sound formal like a report.
ตอบลบI hope my answer may clear off your doubt. Besides, I still believe that grammar is important for English learning and use, but when we put it in use, there are many factors and exceptions involved that we need to understand and then apply it appropriately.
